The AW2045CB  employs a high grade carbon with a large surface area, allowing for the incredible efficiency of contaminant absorption. The higher surface area also increases the the service life of the cartridge, so filter changes are required less often.

The AW2045CB is a Solid Carbon Block with Sediment Pre-Filter Screen. It is a very fine filter, rated at in 5 Microns.

The micron rating of a filter cartridge refers to the filter’s capacity to remove contaminants of a specific size. A 5 micron nominal filter will the majority of particles that are 5 microns or larger, perfect for town or tank water sources.
